DAVID A. VELJOVICH grew up in Southern California. He graduated from the University of California at San Diego in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, and minor degrees in Economics and Third World Studies. He obtained his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from California Western School of Law in 1997. Mr. Veljovich was the Executive Lead Articles Editor of the California Western Law Review, and received the American Jurisprudence (Am Jur) award in Contracts.
Mr. Veljovich was admitted to the California Bar in 1997. Working for a mid-size law firm, and his own firm, he gained experience in the fields of personal injury, construction defect, professional liability, business torts, and insurance coverage. He has trial experience in a number of different areas. Mr. Veljovich has also written multiple successful appeals.
When not practicing law, Mr. Veljovich coaches and referees competitive youth soccer, and volunteers as a disaster service worker for his local fire department. He enjoys snowboarding, the beach, and spending time with his family.
Mr. Veljovich's professional organization memberships include the San Diego Defense Lawyers, San Diego County Bar Association, and North County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in California, and the Federal District and Bankruptcy Courts.
